On Saturday, she watched as her home was auctioned off in Dallas. “The final farewell to my house,” Pottsboro said. “It means so much to all of us. It’s not just a house.” Auctions on foreclosed houses are an opportunity for some and agony for those who’ve lost their homes. From July through September of this year, more than 2700 Americans lost their homes to foreclosure every day, according to The Associated Press. In Texas, almost 9200 homes entered the foreclosure process in September. On Saturday, Pottsboro took her seat among the crowd, waiting for house No. 73 to be called. Marilyn Mock, a small-business owner from Rockwall, Texas, had accompanied her son, who was interested in buying a house, to the auction that day. Mock was sitting near Pottsboro and noticed that she was upset. “She was crying, and I asked her what is she upset about, and you know, she lost her house,” Mock said. When the No. 73 came up and the auction began, Mock said she asked Pottsboro, “Is it worth it?” “She said yes. & I just kept taking her word,” Mock said. Mock ended up winning the auction, with a bid of about $30000. And just like that

3 Ways To Get Approved For a Business Credit Card

Posted under Home Credit Loans by admin on Saturday 28 January 2012 at 1:55 PM

If you run your own business–whether it’s a retail store, direct sales, hobby shop or freelance consulting–chances are you’ve thought about getting a business credit card. It’s probably a good idea, since it makes it easy for you to separate your business expenses from your home expenses, a task that helps keep your paperwork organized and simplifies things at tax time. When you’re ready to apply for a business card, follow this checklist:

1. Choose a card

Some cards offer special deals, financing or rewards for small business owners. For example, some rebate cards offer you a percentage back on everything you buy at a certain store, like a warehouse store or online store. Other cards offer cash rebates when you spend at supermarkets, gas stations or home improvement stores. If you travel often, a frequent flier or travel rewards card might get you the best and biggest bonuses. Choosing the right reward card–depending on the type of business you operate and the expenses you incur–can mean extra money in your pocket all year long.

2. Gather up paperwork

You’ll need basic information about your company’s financial situation, including the name of your business, the tax identification number, the business address, the number of years you’ve been an owner, the number of employees, the nature of the business, the business’ average annual income, and the amount in the business’ checking account. You’ll also need to know the legal entity of your business, such as whether it’s a sole proprietorship, a corporation, a partnership, a non-profit, etc.

3. Fill out the application

You can find applications for almost all business credit cards online, although in most cases you can also call and apply over the phone (a good idea if you have any questions). Depending on your credit rating, you may have to provide extra documentation of your business’ current financial status, so be prepared to mail or fax information if requested. After you fill out the application, approval can take anywhere from thirty seconds to a month.

To find business credit cards online, do an Internet search or check the websites of major credit card companies.

4 Tips to Find No Credit Check Apartments

Posted under Home Credit Loans by admin on Saturday 7 January 2012 at 1:25 AM

Who knew apartments required good credit before giving you a lease? Many unsuspecting bad-credit-applicants have realized this fact the hard way. I know I did.

Why do apartments do credit checks anyway?

Turns out apartments view a lease as a loan. If you’re seeking a 12-month lease on an apartment that’s $800 a month, you’re essentially taking out a $9600 loan that you repay over a period of a year. If you’re late, you’ll get a late fee. If you’re too late, they’ll repossess the apartment. So in that sense, I guess it is a loan.

Just like a loan from a bank, you must have a pretty decent credit score if you want to get approved for most apartments. Without that score, you’ll have to fork up the cash to pay for the apartment, get someone credit worthy (and often a property owner) to co-sign, or you’ll have to look elsewhere. Looking elsewhere is the only option for most people with bad credit.

If you want to rent with bad credit, you’ll have to find a no credit check apartment.

Anyone who’s been apartment hunting using those free guides you pick up from the gas station and Wal-Mart knows no credit check apartments aren’t easy to be found. A Google search for “no credit check apartments” returns over 1 million results. Few of them are actually websites of places that will give you an apartment without a credit check. That’s because finding apartments that don’t do credit checks is a little tough, as you’ve probably already seen. People who own no credit check apartments don’t do much advertising and they certainly don’t advertise in the glossy pages of apartment books.

Here are some things to keep in mind as you look for an apartment that doesn’t do credit checks.

No credit check apartments are typically owned by individual landlords rather than a large property management company. Individual landlords often own one or two properties. So based on the number tenants they have, it’s often not worth it to do a credit check.
Large apartment complexes almost always do credit checks. The way they see it, they can’t afford to lose money on a non-paying tenant, so they do their due diligence upfront to prevent that from happening.
Apartments with lots of amenities are typically owned by large property management companies and are more likely to check your credit. So, if you have bad credit, stay away from the apartments with pools and workout rooms.
An individually-owned condo or townhouse probably won’t require a credit check, especially if it’s newer. Chances are the owner hasn’t been through many tenants and probably hasn’t had a tenant skip out on the rent, so they don’t have much reason to do credit checks.

No credit check apartments are out there. Use some of these clues to weed out apartments. Look for an individual who owns an apartment rather than a large company. That’s your best bet for getting into an apartment with bad credit.

No Credit Check RV Loans

Posted under Home Credit Loans by admin on Sunday 1 January 2012 at 6:09 PM

Recreational Vehicles can take the form of Airplanes, Hot Air Balloons, Boats, Motor Homes, ATVs, Travel Trailers, and Jet Skis. Obtaining RV loans is not very difficult if individuals follow the usual and correct steps. There are two types of RV loans in the market. One is the ‘new RV loan‘ and the other is the ‘used RV loan‘. In view of the fact that recreational vehicles are modes of transport for exciting leisure time activities, they are a huge investment. Prior to taking on an RV loan, individuals have to think about all the aspects, from deciding the right RV, comparing the RV loans to finding the one that best suits their budget.

No credit check RV loans are a contentious issue because they are rarely processed. They differ largely from the loans advanced by banks, which in most cases require a credit check of the borrowers. These types of loans can be given to all individuals irrespective of their credit ratings.

For many prospective buyers, ‘no credit check’ RV loans from lending institutions are a requirement. These RV loans can be planned in a number of ways while keeping the monthly payments more affordable and manageable.

Those individuals, who have a poor credit history, are normally advanced simple interest fixed rate RV loans that can end up saving hundreds of dollars of interest. Most good RV loans will not induce prepayment penalties for paying off a unit before time. However, it is still advisable to check on such terms in advance.

When advancing loans to people with very good credit ratings, it is in the best interest of the lending institutions to check whether borrowers are capable of paying back the loan. They also need to verify if borrowers will be able to pay back in time.

It is also crucial for borrowers to have a basic idea about their future plans before they apply for RV loans. If they are purchasing an RV with the intention of trading it for a larger or more expensive one in the near future, it is advisable for them to consider financing it for a shorter period of time or providing a larger down payment.
